Sven Newman

Sven co-leads Daylight's San Francisco studio. Prior to Daylight, Sven led a multidisciplinary studio at IDEO. Sven studied product design at Stanford and has lectured at the Stanford d.school.

Brett Newman

Brett co-leads Daylight's San Francisco studio. Prior to Daylight, Brett worked in Europe as VP of product at Azud. Brett received his masters in product design from Stanford and is now a member of its faculty leading the undergraduate capstone class in product design.

Dan Kim

Prior to joining Daylight in 2013, Dan was CEO of Nexon America, the U.S. subsidiary of Nexon, a $21B global online game company. He also spent many years at IDEO as a product designer, engineer and a leader in managing business development and client relationships in Asia. Dan has a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and Master's in Product Design from Stanford University.

Pascal Soboll

Pascal leads Daylight Design Europe. Prior to joining Daylight, Pascal spent 15 years at IDEO, with multi-year leadership roles in the Palo Alto, London, and Munich studios. Most recently he led IDEO Europe’s business in "Systems and Service design."

Boram Won

Boram is a designer who is highly conscious of the designer's role for society. Prior to Daylight, she had a lot of experience in social impact design projects at ID+IM Design Lab., KAIST: designing for both non-profit organizations and corporations. Boram holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in industrial design from KAIST.

Cathy Park

Cathy Park is a visual designer at Daylight’s San Francisco office. Before joining Daylight, she has done branding and digital product work for a large variety of organizations from non-profits to luxury fashion labels. She has previously worked at Discovery, Inc. and graduated with a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design with a double major in industrial design and graphic design.

Dajeong Hong

Dajeong is a visual designer who specializes in visual communication design. She is interested in UX, UI, branding and graphic design. Dajeong believes that meaning and symbol are inseparable and that society and design are the same. She appreciates the consideration for the social impact in Daylight’s design process.

Dave Dawkins

Dave Dawkins is a Senior Design Lead at Daylight Design's San Francisco office. A versatile visual and UX designer, he is passionate about human-centered design that creates equitable and impactful solutions. With experience at IDEO.org, Dave has worked on challenges in early education, healthcare, gender equality, refugee resettlement, and more. At Daylight, Dave focuses on innovative design that drives meaningful change for communities.

David Hwang

David is a lead visual designer at Daylight’s San Francisco office. Prior to joining Daylight, he was a senior communication designer at Eight Inc., working with Fortune 500 companies such as Apple, Citibank, and Nike. As an independent designer, he worked with fast-growing startups including Omio, Scoot, and Flexport. David holds a Bachelor's Degree from ArtCenter College of Design.

Doyeon Ku

Doyeon is a user experience designer who believes design can be a bridge between people and their various needs. She discovers insights and delivers solutions based on her understanding of user research and technology. Doyeon holds a Bachelor's degree in Information and Interaction Design and in Computer Science from Yonsei University.

Doyeon Shin

Doyeon Shin(Shindy) is an award-winning industrial designer who focuses on human experience. She believes in creating great experiences as a designer through holistic product/user experience design based on social responsibility. Shindy received a bachelor’s degree from Kookmin University’s Department of Industrial Design.

Eduardo Pereira

Eduardo is a designer with a background in graphic design and web development with over 8 years of experience developing digital solutions in partnership with companies in South America and Europe. Eduardo holds a bachelor’s degree in Design from UFPE, Brazil and post-graduation studies in Interaction Design at the Umeå Institute of Design, Sweden.

Fiona Ennis

Fiona is a designer at Daylight’s Munich office. Prior to joining Daylight, she did a project with a social enterprise in Malawi, Africa and worked at a small innovation, strategy & design agency in Dublin, Ireland. Fiona holds a bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication Design.

Hannah Mazonson

Hannah intertwines human-centered design, writing, and visual arts to garner insights and to communicate clear solutions. Empathy allows her to navigate multifaceted systems issues such as racial segregation on college campuses or economic inequity in California. Hannah holds a bachelor’s degree in English and human-centered design from Dartmouth College.

HeeSeon So

HeeSeon is a design strategist who is passionate about bringing human-centered solutions to technological development and social impact problems. Prior to Daylight, she was a senior designer at Samsung Electronics and a business consultant at Accenture. HeeSeon holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in industrial design from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology.

Hyoju Yeo

Hyoju is a UX designer in Daylight's Seoul office. She is passionate about making a positive impact through her design. Prior to Daylight, Hyoju designed healthcare-related projects, seeing them through from research and design to commercialization. Hyoju holds a Bachelor's degree in Visual Communication Design from Hongik University.

Joe Hei

Joe finds inspiration at the nexus of business, design, and human factors. He has been a business leader and startup founder, including as a Founding and Managing Partner of 886 Studios, a venture studio in Taipei; co-founder of premium baby brand Orbit Baby; Chief Design Officer of Ergobaby; and manager and designer at IDEO. Joe earned his BS in Product Design, and MS in Mechanical Engineering, from Stanford University, and teaches in the Stanford design program.

Johanna Gieseler

Johanna is a product designer who loves to combine her skills in visual design, prototyping and design thinking to work towards social and environmental change. At Daylight she is involved in research activities as well as concept development, illustration and visual implementation. She holds a Master's degree in Industrial Design from TU Munich and a Bachelor's degree in Product and Process Design from the Berlin University of the Arts.

Julia Schwarzfischer

Julia is a passionate design researcher and project leader, who wants human-centered innovation to make a difference for people and the planet. Prior to Daylight, Julia led the research team at design firm Gravity, worked as an assistant director in the film industry and was a researcher at IDEO. Julia holds a Master’s in Political Science, Intercultural Communication and Spanish Literature from Munich University.

JuneHyeong Lee

June is a brand director at Daylight’s Seoul office. Prior to joining Daylight, he was Brand Creative Director at Daum Communications, one of Korea’s leading online platforms. With over 15 years of experience and several international awards, June focuses on revealing the soul of a brand through design.

Junggi Sung

A veteran of IDEO and Lunar, Junggi Sung helps lead Daylight’s industrial design practice worldwide from Daylight Asia’s headquarters in Seoul. In the tradition of influential designers like Naoto Fukasawa and his mentor Bill Moggridge, Junggi consistently rises above the bureaucracy of business to achieve poetically simple and visually stunning results.

Justus Bremer

Justus is an award-winning Interaction Designer who loves working on projects that bridge the physical, digital, and visual world. Previously a Product Designer at the United Nations, he quickly found his footing as a Digital Designer & Prototyper at Daylight, where he now brings interactive designs to life with his technical knowledge. Justus holds a Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Design, as well as a Master’s in Interaction Design from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the highest-ranking design school in Asia.

Marion Buchenau

Marion is a UX director in Daylight’s San Francisco office. Prior to Daylight, Marion has been a UX leader at IDEO and a fellow IDEO.org. She did her graduate work at the Royal College of Arts and has lectured about her craft at Stanford, UC Berkeley and CCA.

Michael Park

Michael is a Project Lead and designer at Daylight’s San Francisco studio. Prior to joining Daylight, he was a Senior Product Manager at Amazon and the founding Product Manager at two startups—one deploying AI for wildfire detection in California, and another backed by Naver Snow in Seoul. He began his career in quantitative consulting at PwC and Neustar, advising Fortune 500 clients on revenue forecasting and asset allocation. Michael holds a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics and Finance from NYU Stern and a Master’s in Design Engineering from Harvard.

Minjeong Kim

Minjeong is a user experience designer who has taken multiple products from concept to launch. Prior to Daylight, she was at Coursera, a company that spreads higher education online, as the founding designer and design manager. Minjeong holds an MFA in product design from Stanford and a bachelor's of fine art at the University of California, Berkeley.

Monique Park

Monique is a user experience designer at Daylight’s Seoul office. Prior to joining Daylight, she was at MyRealTrip, a Korean travel startup as one of the early designers to bring the company to huge growth. Monique holds a master’s degree in entertainment technology and a bachelor’s degree in communication design at Carnegie Mellon University.

Noam Zomerfeld

Noam is a user experience designer, strategist and researcher who enjoys multi-touchpoint design and tackling complex design challenges. Prior to Daylight, Noam led UX projects in additive manufacturing - bio-compatible 3D printing applications, IoT products and products in the automotive and healthcare fields. His passions lie in sense-making, collaboration, and the intersection between technology and meaning. Noam holds a degree in Interaction Design from California College of Arts.

Oliver Hsu

Oliver is a versatile designer with a background in industrial design. He is passionate about finding insights within research that translate into thoughtful products. At Daylight, Oliver works on systems, user experience, and industrial design projects. He holds a BFA in Industrial Design from the Rhode Island School of Design.

Olivia Lancaster

Olivia is a user experience designer and research strategist, with a background in physical design and manufacturing. She is passionate about designing for sustainability and accessibility and loves exploring the intersection between digital and physical spaces. Olivia has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s in Sustainability Science and Practice from Stanford University.

Pablo Velazquez

Pablo is a versatile product and industrial designer. He’s lived in many countries including Mexico, Japan, and Singapore and consistently brings curiosity and cultural empathy to his work. Pablo holds a BFA in Industrial Design from the Rhode Island School of Design and has completed master-level coursework at the Politecnico di Milano in Italy.

Priyanka Marawar

Priyanka brings a holistic approach to her work at the intersection of social impact and experience design. Rachel is a strategist and user experience designer with a background in graphic design and research. Prior to Daylight she worked with Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum and SonicRim Global Design Research. Rachel holds an MFA in design from California College of the Arts.

Sabine is a licensed physician with longstanding experience in management consulting and a passion for human-centered design. For Daylight Sabine coordinates business development with a strong focus on health & wellness and organizational development.

Sagarika Konanuru

Sagarika is a user experience designer, and research strategist who enjoys multi-modal design and designing for emerging technology. Prior to Daylight, Sagarika worked on UX projects in cloud construction management and practiced architecture and interior design. Her passions lie in data-driven design, cross-cultural experience design and creating products that positively impact society. Sarah Goodin

Sarah is a Senior UX Designer and strategist in the San Francisco office. She believes deeply in the principles of human-centered and universal design, and loves wearing all the different hats that being a UX designer requires. Sarah has a MFA in Design from California College of the Arts, a BA in Psychology from Harvard, and two adorable chaos goblins that she made herself.

Siddharth Dasari
